Pleasant one room bar with various taps offering a good selection of ales which are shown on a blackboard to the right of the bar. To the left of the bar there was a London Underground Jubilee Eastbound sign starting at Waterloo. I didn't get the significance but I would return to this place. Maybe I'll find out then.

A modern cafe bar in a neat corner location, some kind of shop conversion as with the nearby and similar Stew & Oyster, mainly a food outlet but it does sell a range of keg beers in spite of the lack of fonts on the knocked up counter, a row of shiny taps is located to the side and the beers are advertised on a blackboard. The range consists of a cider, two euro-lagers and four craft kegs including one from the almost local Bad Co. Furnishing is all separate tables and chairs and sofas in the usual eclectic mix, there's exposed brick, a chandelier and mirrors in a bit of a mad mix of interior decoration. Downstairs is a more atmospheric cellar bar but with no counter. The toilets are confusing to say the least with only a ying-yang symbol on each door, I was told there is a colour difference on the signs but I didn't notice. It's ok for those who like this kind of bar, the clientele on my visit being well heeled and middle aged with a sprinkling of younger families.

Same thing happened to me…I was treated like a leper! Furniture was roughly pushed away from where I was sitting as I was informed my toddlers and I were a 'health & safety' hazard. Terribly rude staff and made to feel completely unwelcome. Drank up and got out as soon as I could. Have never been made to feel this way anywhere else since having children.
