Colin Walker left this review about The Rosehip

The Rosehip sits in the former seafood restaurant Seadogs. On draught West 4 Lager £5.75, Rose & Thistle Ale £4.95, Cornish Orchard Cider £4.95, Shandon Stout£5.75. Bottled beers with a choice of 12 ranging from a Peroni Lager £4.95 to a Radical Road Pale Ale £6.50. Gins with a choice of 24 ranging from a Tanqueray £3.50 to a Crossbill 200 Strathspey £11.95. Cocktails with a choice of 28 ranging from a Black Russian £7.50 to a Smoked Whisky sour £12.95. As their sign advertises the place has the largest selection of whisky in the New Town. A huge choice of Whisky from all different regions. From the Highland region there is a choice of 34 ranging from an Aberlour 10yr old £5.50 to an Ardmore 25yr old £26.95. From the Lowland region there is a choice of 9 ranging from an Achentoshan Classic £5.50 to a Rosebank 21yr old £34.95. From the Speyside region there is a choice of 49 ranging from a Benromach 10yr old £5.95 to an unbelievable Mortlach 32yr old £169.95. This price is extreme but having checked it out on 4 other sites this was bottled in 1971 and bottled in 2003, making it extremely rare. From the Campbelltown region there is a choice of 9 ranging from an Hazelburn 10yr old £5.95 to a Springbank 18yr old £12.95. From Islay there is a choice of 29 ranging from a Bruichladdich The Laddie £5.95 to a Bowmore 25yr old £39.95. From the other Islands there is a choice of 18 ranging from a Highland Park 12yr old £5.95 to a Jura 36yr old £499.95. From Japan there is a choice of 5 ranging from an Hakushu Distillers Reserve £6.95 to a Yamazaki 18yr old £25.95. There is a Connoisseurs Choice with a choice 19 ranging from Aultmore 1997 £6.50 to a Glenrothes 1969 £89.95. Altogether a choice of 172 different whisky to choose. There is also a large food menu to check out. The toilets are in the depths of the building and are down concrete stairs so don’t get too tipsy.
