Good village pub with two main rooms and skittle alley at rear. Lots of nice dark wood gives a traditional feel. At time of visit offering a couple of Red Rock beers badged as Tolchards, but very drinkable. Food looked good although not sampled and also available as take-away. Only grumble that they do not seem to have made much of the outside.

this is without a doubt the best pub in england! if you have dogs, visit the talaton. if you love good food, visit the talaton. if you want a warm welcome, visit the talaton. i grew up in the area and now live in the north east, but i still return to see in the new year. why would you want to be anywhere else? still miss you all x
