Brainy Pool left this review about The Strawberry

wow, this place was completely packed on my Saturday evening visit, I mean standing room only and there wasn't much of that. big pub on a busy suburban junction (yawn), owned by Greene King (yawn), cheap food offers plastered everywhere (mega yawn). too bland and busy, so walked on into Barrow rather than sticking around

Olga Mathews left this review about Strawberry Hotel

Called in at this pleasant Greene King pub for Lunch on a Monday. Delicious food, reasonably priced. Veg options, several fish dishes and tapas are amongst the items on offer. Fast, friendly service. Real ales include Old Speckled Hen and Abbots Ale. No smoking area, all facilities clean, well maintained and accessible. Ramp access to side.
The Strawberry Hotel is on a main road (so impossible to photograph from the front!) and is a good place to stop for lunch if you’re touring in the area. Local walks and bird watching are both excellent, the Duddon estuary being only a few miles away.
