Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Bell Inn

Country pub located at the east end of Outwood Common near the windmill. The old, low-ceilinged, L-shaped arrangement of various seating and dining areas has been partly opened-out but still retains a good amount of traditional character. A large bell, whether original or not, can be seen in its own housing on the main facade. As a Fuller's house, the choice of London Pride, Seafarers (£7.35 with a packet of peanuts) and ESB (with a reversed HSB clip also noted) from the two banks of three handpumps was no surprise

Unfortunately because this pubs cellar is actually quite small is the reason why there is only three ales on at any one time and the guy in charge has a great selection coming up over the next few months. A bloody marvellous place with the three aforementioned real ales with a further four bottled Fullers ales and a very special one coming in September.
As for the 4x4 customers comment. If this pub didn't have them it would probably end up like the other pub on the far side of the same village. CLOSED.

The Bell is an old 17th Century coaching inn on the edge of the rather dispersed village of Outwood. It was acquired by Fuller's in recent years and unnecessarily but reasonably tastefully refurbished. Even before Fuller's got hold of it it was largely given over to dining, and that remains much the same, with apart from an area to the front every level surface laid up for eating. If you can get over all of that they do attempt to make the front bit look pubby, with a nice fireplace and TV showing football, exposed beams and the usual decorative knick-knacks though even then few people seem to use it as a pub, and at weekends there are far too many loud 4x4 owning parents with their screaming kids.

There's nothing wrong with beer quality - it's in the GBG - a couple of the standard Fullers range and an ex-Gales guest usually. That the choice is limited is an indication that their priority is not the wet side.

Have a look if you're passing, but these days there are better choices round here.
