The Winwick Quay is a large Brewer’s Fayre pub located adjacent to a Premier Inn on the M62/A49 junction. Unsurprisingly, there is a large car park for diners and hotel guests. To the right of the pub is a lawn with picnic tables as well as a children’s play area.
The interior is L-shaped with seating along the front and down the right hand side to the rear. I had a very nice Premier Inn breakfast in this area. The bar facing the entrance supports two hand pumps, one of which was off leaving Sharps Doom bar as the lone real ale choice. There is a larger standard and premium keg selection. The Brewer’s Fayre food menu is in operation, the cheeseburger is priced at £10.30. The staff were polite, but this isn’t somewhere I would visit just for a beer, unless for a nightcap if I found myself staying in the hotel again.
