Old Boots left this review about Nags Head

National keg only corner pub with an interesting multi room layout. You enter the main bar, dodging mobility scooters and smokers, where the counter is down one side in an odd possibly triangular room. Off to one side is a small snug with bench seating divided from the main bar by a stained glass topped wall, at the back is another larger room with machines and armchairs, I expected a pool table there but the punters looked too old for strenuous exercise. A nice top above the counter with stained glass, as stated just a selection of 8 national keg brands. Screens and machines in every room apart from the snug and the main bar has a lot of standing room with small tall tables and drinking shelves, there are some armchairs in the front corner. There’s a Lest We Forget mural above a DJ booth and a gallery of what I took to be deceased customers in one corner of the main bar. No room at the counter even at 11:30am on a Tuesday, the average age may drop later in the day.

Will Larter left this review about Nags Head

As I walked from the station I couldn't work out where the really loud music was coming from. Getting closer to the Nags, the truth began to dawn. I popped my head around the door. Luckily there was no real ale so I high-tailed it up the road, trying to clear the ringing sound from my ears.

A small corner boozer. No real ale but the place was ok. A smallish bar area with a pool room at the rear.
