A comfortable and surprisingly large local pub, hidden in back streets. Inside there is a good-sized central bar with tabled areas extending around there sides, running off towards more of a dining area to the rear. A nice selection of regional beers seemed in fair nick and the food looked ok, but not sampled.

The Court Inn is a decent sized back street pub that is opposite the police station.
Once inside there is an oblong shaped room to the left which runs to the rear, the bar is to the mid right, the seating is comfy bench type and chairs, there was a TV to the rear showing BBC news.
There is a decent sized dining room to the rear right.
There was a decent choice of real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Harvistoune Bitter & Twisted which went down very well, the other beers were Taylor Landlord,Maxim Double Maxim,Old Golden Hen and Bombardier.
There was some decent background music playing and the pub was fairly busy in both room on my Saturday dinner visit.
This is a decent and comfortable pub to have a drink in.

Surprisingly large and modern backstreet pub/eatery aimed at the family market. L-shaped interior with blue/green tartan style carpet, fabric booth seating, and lots of dried hops hanging from the ceiling. China and glass cocks on the windowsills along with Laurel and Hardy ephemera. Left-field presence of a vintage table top arcade machine which appeared to be in full working order. Food is a big thing here and most people were eating. Six pumps with five on, three from LWC, TT Landlord and Jarrow Rivet Catcher. My LWC Hop & Glory was in pretty good shape but ludicrously priced - London style - just shy of £3.90 a pint when rounded from a half. Maybe it’s a cack-handed attempt to keep out the scallies from the Crown Court over the way. Read later that a CAMRA discount is apparently offered but I saw no note of it advertised. All-in-all a funny little place, worth a look in if you're doing a crawl.
