David Ross left this review about The Half Moon
A quiet, pleasant and comfortable L-shaped bar/lounge which had only half a dozen customers despite the fact that it was a Saturday night. They were all middle-aged to elderly and the juke box was playing country and western/easy listening music at moderate volume. A pint of Guinness cost me £3.15 and Tennent's lager, Tennent's Ember Ale and Magner's and Strongbow ciders were also on tap. The Half Moon certainly isn't the most exciting or lively pub in town, but it's a nice place for a quiet drink if that's what you're looking for.
