The bar has adopted more of a bar/lounge feel to it since my previous visit, with plusher padded seating and more subdued lighting, although there are still two pool tables in the middle of the floor. The separate lounge next door now seems to be open only occasionally. Prices aren't cheap for an out of town centre pub, at £3 for a pint of Tennents lager. Fosters lager, John Smith's bitter, Tennents Special and Guinness are also available on draught.

A typical "scheme pub" in the Mossend area of the town. The male dominated bar has a pool table, a dart board (home territory of the Joker's darts team) and walls decorated with football pictures and strips, although these are largely Scotland, or Motherwell, rather than Old Firm, orientated. Through a connecting door, there is a large lounge bar, which sometimes features live bands or people committing Karaoke. It is also sometimes reserved for private functions.
