Colin Walker left this review about The Rhu Inn

The Rhu Inn is located in the conservation village of Rhu and 2 miles from Helensburgh with its half hourly train links to Glasgow. The inn is only 45 mins from the centre of Glasgow and 35 mins from Glasgow International Airport. Believed to be originally built in the 1600's the building you see now was first recorded in the Ordnance survey map of 1858. At that time it was called the Colquhoun Arms Hotel. It was extensively re-modelled in the late 19th and early 20th century, when the Art deco fittings and windows were installed. The building is B Listed and retains many of the Art Deco features such as the staircase balustrades, fireplace and the windows. The leaded windows show the stained glass pattern by Favrille, which was patented by Tiffany in 1893. Attractions to the pub include, the Quart Club, which meet at the Rhu Inn to enjoy the range of fine ales from local micro breweries. The Clay Pigeon Club meet each Thursday for after shoot drinks. Saturday night is live music night with a variety of local bands. There is a good range of whiskies to choose from such as Bunnahabhain, Coal Ila, Highland Park and quite a few more. Joke - (Considering the place is called RHU INN it is in very good condition (RUIN)).

An old fashioned village pub on the Firth of Clyde waterfront at Rhu, it has a small quaint bar at the front and a slightly larger lounge area at the rear.
