simon davis left this review about The Boncyff

The new phone number of the boncyff is 01685 378550. The pub was taken over by new owners on 16th Jan 2009. The pub now has a very large big screen, sky and setanta sports and does meals lunchtimes and sundays. Prices are very reasonable but havnt eaten there yet although on sunday many people seemed to be enjoying the food.

Steve O'Gorman left this review about Fforchneol Arms

It's changed its name to The Boncyff. It was always known as The Bonki - nothing rude. The "boncyff" was the tree stump on which the colliers' wages were counted out on payday - after which they hit the pub!
