This is a brilliant riverside traditional pub for a summer afternoon on the terrace going down to the river.. Mainstream beers and we hose Fullers Gales HSB which was in good condition.

Offenham is a somewhat suburban riverside settlement on the edge of Evesham. The pub has been around for longer than most of the village, and remains very traditional. It looks like it was last refurbished maybe in the 80s, but retains a central servery with a counter in the entrance lobby, then large rooms to the left and right, one more a public bar with darts and Sky TV, the other set up for eating. But the main reason to visit is surely the large terrace stepped down to the river where one can pass a very pleasant couple of hours watching the ducks and geese and people messing around with their boats. Only annoyance is the distant roar of the ever-busy A46.

When we showed up all the pump clips were turned, and judging by the frantic pumping going on, some maintenance of the apparatus was underway. But it's Enterprise, Doombar, and 6X and probably some other mainstream beer will be the choices.

It's well worth a trip on a sunny weekday afternoon, doubtless murder weekends. Note it is difficult to find down a long narrow lane, but is helpfully signed on the main road out of Evesham.
