A true gem, where you're made very welcome from the landlady, her husband and locals alike. The landlady brought chocolates around on a plate on our early Friday eve visit. The layout of the pub consisted of a central bar serving a narrow front room and larger back room. There was also a side lounge positioned on the left hand side of the entrance, plus a good sized rear patio garden. Six handpumps on the bar with four in use. The beer choice was mainstream, nevertheless my pint of Young's Special was that good, that I went for a second. There was also a choice of five local ciders.
