This is a locals pub set in the centre of Byker. It consists of an open plan wide room with TVs and split into areas. to the right is a pool and darts area with another pool table over to the left. It was quiet on my early Tuesday evening visit.
I was surprised to find two clipped hand pumps here and even more surprised to see Mordue Workie Ticket & Northumbrian Blonde. I went for the Workie Ticket (£2.30) which was a bit on the warm side but OK apart from that. I hope this place makes a success of selling real ale as it's an unlikely place to find it.
