Traditional Fullers backstreet boozer. Basic opened-out L shaped interior though the lovely leaded stained windows are of significant note. A few locals in on a late Friday afternoon with a couple playing darts. Service with a smile, cask range of Pride, ESB, Dark Star Hophead & APA (NBSS 4) with a beer from Twickenham unavailable. A nice 30 minute stop and if I were local I’d certainly be happy utilising it. GBG22 listed. 7.5

Tucked away in the quiet backstreets of Kingston,this friendly local in tied to Fullers.An L shaped interior is quite upmarket but in a traditional way with wooden furniture,a dark wood floor to one side,carpeted elsewhere and pleasing wall decorations.There are french windows to a large beer garden (smoking not allowed at many tables),part a patio,while to the front side there are metal chairs while substantial wooden benches run underneath the front windows ,so lots of external seating.
There are 5 handpumps with Fullers Londson Pride,ESB (top form NBSS 4.5) and "Dark Star" Hophead as regulars and on my visit a single guest in Twickenham Naked Ladies was still settling.The food is very well cooked with lots of daily specials along with more traditional pub food.My veggie burger and chips was worth the £12.50.The service was admirable.
This is a very solid pub,I will most certainly return and it's worth popping in if in the area.

A good solid pub hiding in the maze of backstreets in this part of Kingston. Two main bars, with a removable divider, but various different areas and a large terraced garden behind. Décor could probably be described as 'modern traditional' if that is not a contradiction in terms ; pub style furnishings but with stripped floor and some other twists without becoming over-trendy. The draught ales were ESB, London Pride, Seafarers, Hophead and St Austell Proper Job for some reason - condition seemed good.
