It seems unchanged from the two previous reports below, in fact the three same beers Steve mentions were the choice, so not a lot of adventure in that department, that said the Shere Drop was indeed a decent drop. Nicely traditional inside with the afore mentioned dark beams, some wood paneling and of course a good dose of exposed brick. A little bit food led but still manages to maintain a trad pub feel, nice enough but not worth a diversion for drink alone.

Good description of this pub from Mark below. Former 16th century Inn ideally located for a drink or food stop when visiting the nearby Clandon House, which retains several Oak beams and a very traditional interior.
It is divided into three small areas, with two larger seating areas either side of the smaller central bar area. This bar area is quite tight which means it doesn’t take too many people queuing at the bar for this area to get very busy. But my experience was that the service is quite efficient so you didn’t have to queue too long.
As mentioned below a decent home made food menu, which is complemented by specials on a chalk board , with the house speciality being home-made pies.
Fortunately the beer choice has moved on a bit from when it was a courage house (as indicated by the prominent road side Courage pub sign) and there are three pumps dispensing Youngs Bitter, Doombar and Surrey Hills Brewery Shere Drop, all of which were well kept.
So a recommended traditional roadside pub for both food or beer.

The Bulls head is located a short distance from The National Trust property Clandon House. The pub is an old Coaching Inn and it has certainly got a lot of character. Perhaps best described as rustic. The seating and tables are very basic but adequate. It has not been modernised so it has retained its charm.we have eaten here on several occasions and have always found the food to be excellent.(Good old fashioned English Cooking). The portions are generous and prices are reasonable. Look at the daily special board as the printed menu can be a little dull. There a 4 cask ales served here but on the downside drinks do tend to be higher priced than normal. The staff and service are both good. Best for couples as it is a tranquil pub/inn with no music or television. We can recommend eating here if you your priority is not luxurious surroundings. A car park is attached to his establishment.
