Alan Winfield left this review about The Brickmakers

The Brickmakers Arms is a nice looking white painted pub that is in the equally nice looking village of Newton Solney.
Once inside there was a small square shaped room to the right, this room had a wood floor and wood pannelled wallls and a beamed ceiling, the seating was comfortable bench seats and small stools, the main bar was to the left this area was carpeted and fairly small, there was another small area to the left.
The pub is a Burton Bridge tied house and there were around five real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Burton Bridge Golden Delicious and this was a really nice well kept drink, the other beers i noted were Stairway to Heaven and Taylor Landlord, there were a couple more Burton Bridge beers on but i did'nt note these.
The pub was fairly busy with a decent mixed bunch in and it had a very nice proper pub atmosphere to it.
I quite liked this pub.
