So-so town pub at the bottom of the hill but nothing special, still a bit grubby round the edges and not much atmosphere. Didn't eat and the ale was only just adequate. All in all probably much better to walk up the hill and try several of the other pubs in town.

The Millers is a lively town pub on a corner near the town centre which also does B&B. The main saloon bar is at the front and there is a games room, dining area and function room at the back. The saloon bar is getting increasingly shabby (certainly in the few months since my previous visit), but is still reasonable, though the tv screens are irritating. The games room was full of loud yoofs whose collective IQ almost pushed treble figures.

There were 3 ales on and one redundant pump. I tried the Ringwood Best and found it a bit lacking - not particularly well kept but drinkable. I couldn't bring myself to try the food.

Remains OK to drop in for a quick pint as it's easy to find and has easy parking, but it's nto somewhere I would spend an evening.
