The Bricklayers arms has been renamed the Framebreakes and is one of three Nottingham Brewery pubs in Nottingham. Extensively refurbished last year the Framebreakers is now the real ale destination of choice in Ruddington. As you enter there is a room with seating to the right hat is served by a small bar that is just off from the main bar and is partitioned by a wall. Walking left brings you to the main bar that has a good choice of real ales. There were no guests on my visit so if Nottingham Brewery beer is not to your liking you’re a bit stuck but I for one happen to love their beers. On my visit there were was (£3.00) EPA (£3.20) Legend (£3.10) and Framebreaker ale (£3.00) available with some more pumps spare that I presume fill up mat busier periods. Pints of the Legend and mild were in superb condition and were without doubt the best beers of the night. Seating continues around the other side of the bar that would have originally have been a separate room but one that like many has been knocked in. Food is also readily available at very competitive prices. This pub does what the white horse does not and first and foremost caters for drinkers with the added option of nice food which in believe is the way things in a pub should be so it gets credit for that. The only real downside is the modernish interior that I have never been keen on but it is still tasteful and not over the top glitzy/tacky, I just prefer a more traditional style. Overall a great place to relax and enjoy good beer and one I could see myself in for a while. Probably the best of the night and worth a visit.

The Bricklayers Arms was an Home Ales tied house when i did my first few visits to this pub.
Once inside the pub still has two separate rooms,there is a small bar room to the right,the floor is part tiled and carpeted,the seating is a pew type seat to the front and leather bucket chairs to the rear and right,this room seemed a bit cramped.
The lounge is in a separate room to the left,this room is larger and L shaped,there are chunky wood tables to the front with chairs,the rear left area was set up for dinners but none were in on my Saturday afternoon visit.
There were four real ales on with two different ones in each room,the lounge room does list all real ales available though,i had a drink of Lincoln Green Tuck which went down very well,the other beers were St Austell Tribute,Nottingham Rock Bitter and Adnams Broadside.
This is a decent enough pub,i was more comfy drinking in the lounge.

This pub is close to the shopping area and busier than the other pubs visited this week. The real ale here was Caledonian Flying Scotsman which we enjoyed. On entry we went into a long room which has the L shaped bar at the top. There was a TV with a music channel on.
