The Wheatsheaf is a traditional 2 room Town pub situated a mile outside the Enfield town centre on Baker Street.
It’s still a public /saloon bar set up with the plain public bar to the right having a pool table , darts board and games machines and the Lounge bar to the left being larger and more comfortable, with a separate function room section to the rear which is utilised for bands and Karaoke evenings.
As Steve mentions below it is very much a locals pub and do expect to be checked out if you enter the public bar. The lounge is also frequented mainly by locals, but is more inviting and on the Saturday evenings when the Karaoke is on, almost has a holiday camp bar feel about it.
I usually pop in here for a quick beer when watching a band at the nearby Old Bell as the advantage of the Wheatsheaf is that it is a Charles Wells house (the only one in Middlesex), and has CW Eagle on pump. It’s not a place I would go out of my way to visit , but OK for a quick one if you’re passing and fed up with the ubiquitous McMullens around these parts.

This is a good sized pub with a public bar that houses a pool table, dartboard and large plasma screen for showing Sky Sports. This bar seemed to be frequented by the younger group of locals who all had to check me out as I walked in. The other larger bar is a little more relaxed, but it still has plasma screens throughout and the same football match on ESPN that was being shown in the public bar was being shown. There is another good sized room at the rear of the pub that has a dartboard on a stage area, which also doubles up as the band's area for live music nights. If you continue on into the back garden you will find a good sized drinking area with a large covered smoking area that has an old TV in it so that none of the match needs to be missed on a fag break.

I found the staff to be polite without being very attentive and I spotted Well's Eagle available alongside a standard draught selection.

This pub has everything that I would wish to have in my local, but this isn't my local and I wouldn't travel to drink here again – although I would probably pop back in if passing.
