Country pub with food, but not in a fancy modern way. Partly opened-out to leave various seating / dining areas on either side of the central bar, all traditionally furnished and decorated. Also has some wooden benches out front and a rear beer garden. Bar billiards table. Italian food events. With two of the four handpumps in use, I found Gadds No 5 (£4.80) and Henry Weston's cider being served.

The Black Horse is a great pub with fantastic food both at lunchtime and in the evening. The kids love the baack garden with the climb on toys and the llama and sheep in the field next door. The carvery on Sundays is delicious. We have eaten out in the evening there several times and have never been disappointed. The Black Horse has a regularly changing menu with fresh, local produce and it is very reasonably priced. I would heartily recommend it!

A pleasant enough country pub somewhat off the beaten track, with ciders and perrys on tap along with the beer. The food looked good, albeit a tad pricey. But I suppose in this life you get what you pay for.
