Visited once around 12 years ago, this is a Grade II-listed late 15th/early 16th century timber framed building once home to Henry VIII's Master of the Hounds (hence the name) and converted into a pub around the early 19th century.
I recall a somewhat quaint pub with a stone flagstone floor with some rugs and very friendly staff. If it were still open and I lived locally, I would've been a regular. Hopefully it will be saved.
