A hidden Fuller's pub located via a potholed dead end in woody surrounds which has been lauded over the years and boasts a long beer garden out back with kids' play area. Internally it's small and cosy with a central entrance-facing, staple-shaped bar serving areas left, right and centre. Ales aren't necessarily limited to the as London Pride and ESB were joined by Black Sheep's Monty Python brew Holy Grail (although my ESB was a little on the watery side). Its cosiness means that at busy times, especially in the winter months, you'll struggle for somewhere to plonk yourself. One of the better pubs in the locality, but worth considering what time of year you pay a visit.
