A traditional pub now subsumed into a modern trading estate and opposite the new build Chain Bridge, there has been a modern internal refurb but a two room layout has been retained, both served from a central bar.The lounge to the right is small with a flatscreen and just keg taps while the large public bar to the left has the real ale handpumps. This room has three flatscreens for sports (BT),a pool table and darts board and judging by the number of trophys this is a proper community pub for the folk if the Fens.
It's in the GBG but will only offer national brands with the choice on my visit of Adnams Ghost Ship (NBSS 3),Doom Bar,London Pride and Woodforde's Wherry not overly exciting but adequate.Best bet for real ale in this area.
