Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Plough Inn
Fine old village inn with a very traditional interior, but in reasonable weather in coronavirus Britain most of the customers were out in the side / rear beer garden (with some additional timber benches out front too). As a Shepherd Neame house, it was no surprise to Master Brew, Whitstable Bay Pale (£4.40) and Spitfire available from three of the four handpumps, but the quality was fine. However, my lasting memory of this pub will be the African grey parrot in a cage near the entrance which has a remarkable range of pub patter, including both "Hello" and "Goodbye" in a range of male and female voices and having ridiculously accurate human laughter off to a tee.

A Victorian village pub dating from around 1870, The Plough is today a quaint Shephard and Neame house just a little way off the A2. It has a large car park, a garden and an outside terrace with tables and benches. There is a small main bar with a low ceiling, inglenook, exposed timbers and so on. There is a parrot in a cage, looking very sad and frankly out of place. There is an even smaller bar laid out for diners. Both bars have a mix of flag and carpeted floors. They serve good pub food and have a daily specials board. It's atmospheric, welcoming and, apart from the parrot, agreeable, while the background music was actually quite pleasant. Four ales on, all Sheps - I had Late Red, which was in perfect condition. It's a little out of the way but well worth finding for a decent pint and a good value meal.
