My recollection of this pub is extremely. I do remember approaching the Greyhound along a well lit country lane, a 10-minute walk from the bus stop I'd got off from.

The pub has a pleasant village location. I recall that the pub was fairly quiet. Although it was getting quite late on a weekday evening, when I rolled in.

Sharp's Doom Bar & Timothy Taylor Landlord are the regular beers. The guest beer was Titsey Leveson Buck. Ciders were Lilley's Peach Cider & Elderflower Cider & Biddenden's Dry.

My visit was swift as I somehow worked out that there was a bus departing from somewhere in the village imminently which could get me home. But my overall impression was of a decent and friendly village local in a nice rural location.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Greyhound

Well located for walkers using Hayes Common to supplement the local trade from Keston village, the pub features a L-shape interior with several seating / dining areas (one slightly raised). For the better weather, it also has plenty of space for wooden benches out front and there is a beer garden to the rear. Having just reopened after Lockdown 2, there were only a couple of real ales and a pair of ciders available from the two banks of four handpumps, although the range is usually bigger, mini-festivals are held and it has won several local Camra awards. Oddly, though, given that the place is owned by Shepherd Neame, there is no sign of its branding (apart from a small logo at the bottom of one health and safety notice), and the beers were Doom Bar and Naked Ladies from Twickenham (pricy at £4.50).

This large L-shaped pub is situated opposite a nice open part of Hayes Common, just a short detour from the busy A232 road.
Six hand pumps demonstrated a commitment to providing a decent real ale selection, with Harvey’s Best, TT Landlord, Directors, Adnams Best and Abbot Ale all available with the Harvey’s in particular in good shape.
Three TV screens were showing the football with the commentary turned down to an unobtrusive level. The locals watching the game were well behaved and managed to celebrate seven Chelsea goals without being disruptive to the diverse range of customers.
A good menu was available and several specials complimented this. I had the roast lamb, which was excellent at £8, although prices for some of the dishes did seem a little high.
Certainly worth a look and although the ale choices were a little drab on my visit, pump clips behind the bar suggested plenty of interesting guests had been on in the past.
