Blue Scrumpy left this review about The White Horse
Family friendly and food-led pub some way to the south of town, but close to Harpenden Common. This place was very busy on my Thursday evening visit, especially in the bar area.
As you enter, there is a small room to the left and a larger dining area to the right hand-side. Walking through the smaller room takes you into the bar itself. Space was at a premium in here and it was difficult to get to the bar. With two handpulls sporting turned clips, the solitary real ale was Mad Goose.
I retreated to the small room to bag a small, but high table. Quite a few had chosen to have more space and a bit of peace and quiet in the garden/patio at the front of the pub. Unfortunately, this was another Harpenden pub which flattered to deceive.
