The Plough has a small restaurant area at the front with a stripped floor and tables, and a bar behind that at a right angle. During the recent heavy rain, the bar area was flooded so the floor covering had been removed leaving the concrete screed, which was a shame. It had a certain well lived in charm. Greene King IPA was available at £3.20, and there was a Woodfordes Wherry pump turned round. The food seemed quite expensive, and there was a restricted serving window in the evenings, but it seemed quite busy in the restaurant on the midweek lunchtime we visited. We got the impression from the landlady that booking was necessary. Worth a visit, but the emphasis is on food.

Brilliant evening out with visitor from Australia who loved the traditional and unspoilt atmosphere. Food was superb as it has been on all the occasions we have dined here.
