Steve C left this review about The Lamb Inn

The Lamb Inn is a 14th century grade II listed pub found on a tight bend on Wartling Road. There are a few parking spaces outside the front of the pub and a small car park is found up the lane to the left. Parking was at a premium when I visited on a recent Saturday afternoon when the pub wasn’t really that busy. Maybe all five of the bedrooms were occupied?
Steps at the front lead up to a couple of wooden benches and the entrance to the bar area which is in the right-hand side of the pub. The bar area is made up by a small snug bar at the front and a larger bar at the rear that faces booth seating along the back windows. To the left of this rear bar are a sofa and two armchairs that sit in front of a fireplace with log burner. Against the bar is a cut down pommel horse, not sure what that is all about! The low beamed left-hand side of the pub has front and rear dining areas. There are no televisions and there was no background music playing. Dogs are welcome in the bar areas and the raised patio garden out the back.
Available from the bar was a limited keg selection and two cask ales, Harveys Best and Pig and Porter Blonde. A third hand pump was unused. Whilst this is a pub it is very food led meaning I wouldn’t return just for a beer again.
Quite interesting: after a period of closure this pub was purchased in 2012 by BBC Antiques Roadshow expert James Braxton and is run by his two sons.
