Steve C left this review about The Stag Inn
The Stag Inn is an L shaped Shepherd Neame pub that advertises live music on Friday and Saturday nights. I imagine that the band sets up on the low stage to the right of the entrance. Past this stage is a pool table that was being played by the only two other customers that were present during my visit on Tuesday evening a couple of weeks ago. There is a thin strip of seating that runs the length of the long bar to the left of the entrance and on the far wall is a plasma screen that was showing a muted documentary about gypsies. The toilets can also be found up this end of the pub and the gent’s was a disgrace with a blocked toilet and pungent smell of ammonia. The bar is stocked with the usual SN draught and one of the two hand pumps was unused leaving Master Brew as the only ale option. I plumped for a half and it was undrinkable, but my complaints fell on deaf ears as the barman had trouble grasping the English language.
This is a terrible pub which I was glad to leave. I’ll not be returning until there is a change in management as this pub is going down the pan, unlike the unmentionables in the bog.
