The Cleveland overlooks Blakers Park and there is some outside seating around both sides of this corner pub. The bar area is a good sized square room that is open plan apart from a couple of supporting columns. The bar is located in the far right hand corner and is stocked with standard draught products along with San Miguel. There are also five hand pumps that were drawing Harvey’s Best (x2), Young’s special, HSB and landlord. There is a log fire to the left of the bar and most of the seating is around the external walls. There is a corridor to the right of the entrance that leads to the toilets and a small seating area. It also looked like there is a garden out the back, but my visit was late on Tuesday evening so it was too dark to see. I didn’t spot any televisions, but there was some low background music playing.

The service was friendly, but I found it a bit boring in here and would rather drink elsewhere.

Traditional and comfortable street corner local serving up to 6 real ales with the Harvey's Sussex Best(which is not one of my favourite beers) in great form. One large bar with a seperate TV room and a very comfortable conservatory mainly for eating.Very friendly landlord who has put a great deal of effort into making this pub a very friendly local which it is.Away from the main heart of Brighton and very well worth seeking out.Nearest station is London Road,Brighton.
