About
Nick says.....

They say that if you can make a living out of something you love doing then you don't really have a job right? That's how I feel about playing music. I've been very lucky in my life, I've done some amazing things. I have played many countries in the world including touring all the UK and Ireland, Germany, Holland, Austria, Denmark, Portugal, Romania, most of the USA (including playing in a $22 million mansion in Hawaii !!), Russia , Israel, South Africa and 5 Mediterranean cruises...
I had a $1.2 million dollar record deal with Atlantic Records with the band I cut my teeth with - Virginia Wolf - I wrote and recorded 2 albums for that legendary label. The first was produced by Queens Roger Taylor in Pete Townshend’s London studio (where I once spent a wonderful afternoon jamming Queen and Zeppelin songs with Brian May and Jason Bonham, our drummer). We then continued recording in Mediterrano studios in Ibiza, and finally Musicland studios Munich.

The 2nd album Push was recorded in Berkley, California with Kevin Elson the record producer and engineer who is best known for his work with Europe, Journey, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Mr. Big.
A real thrill was touring North America supporting Led Zeppelin's (truly) great Jimmy Page in front of 20,000 people a night and seen him watch my band side stage every night and hanging out with him....

I've written and released several solo self-financed albums in recent years including writing and producing what was a departure for me, a Burt Bacharach influenced cd for Linda Jennings (on Soundcloud)...
....I even admit to (ahem) having appeared as George Harrison on Stars In Their Eyes. I only appeared on the show as a bit of fun but to my great surprise it led to offers of work. While I have great respect for George Harrison both as a writer and a musician (not to mention a Beatle!), I don't want to make my fulltime living impersonating him. However for a month or two each year I help out on the All You Need Is Love show in Germany as its both lucrative and fun.
Yes I've done a lot of stuff I suppose. Given my influences (Clapton , Page , Hendrix) I guess I'm a rock blues guitar player at heart but I love including melody in my playing and have worked to try and develop my own style based around a lot of string bending.
With my new band 'Nick Bold and The Raging Sea' I've written and sung the songs on our eponymous debut cd which features riff based guitar songs. We believe the cd features a modern take on thinking mans guitar based blues rock
Anyway, that's about all you need to know really. I prefer to let the music do the talking now....
