Join us this Thursday 22nd march for a brand new act fronted by Harry Johnstone - Jazz trumpeter. He will be joined on stage with members of his quintet to perform an evening of mainly straight ahead classic jazz - from 8pm until 11pm.

Harry Johnstone Quintet, performing mainly straight ahead jazz with some of the most up and coming 'younger generation' jazz musicians on the London scene!
Below is a brief bio of each member of the band!

Chris Eldred - Piano
Chris has circulated many world famous venues/clubs such as Ronnie Scott?s, the 606, the Royal Albert Hall, the Vortex, the Bull?s Head, Pizza Express Jazz Club. He has performed alongside leading London jazz musicians such as Jean Toussaint (Art Blakey), Clark Tracey, Malcolm Earle-Smith, Bobby Wellins (Stan Tracey) and many others, playing high profile performances such as the BBC Proms, broadcast on BBC radio and television (2012) and many of England?s finest jazz festivals. He is recording with artists such as Ed Barker, Noemi Nuti, Callum Au, Henry Armburg-Jennings, Syd Lawrence Orchestra.

Alfonso Al Vitale - Drums
Alfonso Vitale has performed alongside jazz giants including Bobby Watson, Kenny Barron, Randy Brecker, Steve Swallow and others. Soon after moving to the UK, he became part of a residence at Ronnie Scotts with sax player Renato D?Aiello.

Jake Burgess - Sax

Jake has performed in many of the UK's top music venues and festivals including Shepherd's Bush Empire, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Barbican Concert Hall, Jimmy's Farm Festival, Wembley Stadium and three performances at the Royal Albert Hall with the most recent being a live broadcast with Caravela on BBC Radio 3 for BBC Proms.

Jack Tustin -Bass
Jack holds the current bass chair of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, and has been fortunate enough to perform at the some of the nations top venues such as Ronnie Scott's, The Barbican, The Royal Albert Hall, The Vortex and the Sage Gateshead and internationally at The Montreux Jazz Festival, The Bimhuis (Amsterdam) and Palais Des Invalides (Paris). He is also received an artists fellowship from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Harry Johnstone - Trumpet
Harry has had the great honour of performing alongside some of greatest jazz musicians in the UK and abroad such as: Kim Western (Marvin Gaye), Andy Greenwood, Quentin Collins, Steve Brown, Alec Dankworth, Steve Waterman and others. Harry is also the winner of the highly prestigious 'BBC Young Composer Competition'. In 2015, his piece was performed by members of the BBC symphony orchestra, as part of the Proms and was broadcasted on BBC radio 3. He has also performed at many notable venues: Ronnie Scott's, Sage(Gateshead), Bridgewater hall, Band on the Wall, as well as other venues across London.
