Bringing back Colchester's creatives!
Calling all musicians, bands, singer-songwriters, spoken word artists and music enthusiasts from Colchester and the surrounding areas. Everyone is free on a Monday night.. after all it is Monday night. Come down and enjoy a pint while indulging in The Foresters Arms's Open Mic.
We welcome all genres, we are lovers of music, no matter what the scene. If you have an art you want to perform, you deserve the opportunity to share it. Our perfectly petite pub is a platform to do exactly that.
Officially our third Open Mic night since the reboot and so far, so fabulous. Since The Waiting Room has gone, I believe we're a little lost. Don't get me wrong, Brew House and TWM is great but it's not the same. I like to feel at home on stage, not cold and in an empty room. Quite handy our regulars are warm and yearning new music #fullhouse
SOOOOO.. going back to my first point. Come down and grace us with your presence, be it centre stage or an attentive audience member. Just remember first come, first serve. Alcohol as well as performance.
First performer on at 8:30, but to be in with a chance of playing, aim to find me around 8ish and get your name or band name on the iPad.
As well as a fantastic night ahead. The lovely Luke Buckingham and wonderful William Fowler will be videoing acts and photographing the evening in the hope to promote our local musicians/music #musicialmusketeers
