About
Evocative and refreshingly melodic, Jude Roberts’ music makes you feel as though you’ve rediscovered a song you never knew. This emerging Americana artist lives in America’s most famous small town- Woodstock, NY- a musically supportive and socially vibrant place for many songwriters, past and present.
Jude’s live record, “Perfect Shell”, is a collaborative effort with Rob Stein (The Mammals Feat. Mike + Ruthy, Bob Dylan Band) playing pedal steel, acoustic guitar, and co-piloting as producer. This EP is a collection of recent songs, as well as a few of Roberts’ earlier, unpublished works reimagined.
In Jude’s sound one can hear influences of English, Irish and Appalachian folk music. Listening deeper, one can find the impressions of baroque and Romance era classical pieces and European folk/pop. A unique amalgam of style and talent, Jude Roberts draws the listener inward and invites them to dive in deep.
