About
On Sunday 25th March Fake Bush is going to be romping her way through the back catalogue of the wonderful Kate Bush and very much hopes you will join her.
Come along and enjoy some Kate classics - all treated with a playful twist.
Audience members will be encouraged to throw some ballet shapes of their own. If they are feeling brave they may even lend their voices and sing along.
Expect sparkly leg warmers, lashings of eyeliner, wild falsetto, and ramshackle props. Key moments from Kate’s videos and stage shows will be recreated (albeit with no budget and a lot of sellotape). Much is tongue in cheek but none is disrespectful. Long live Kate!
"Bestival wouldn’t be Bestival without a bit of Bush" - Rob Da Bank
"You were marvellous!" - Barry Norman
"Better than the real thing" - Fake Bush’s Mum
Fake Bush has been celebrating the music of Kate Bush for longer than she cares to remember and at some point soon should really hang up the catsuit. She is a regular performer on the cabaret and comedy circuit and has performed in forest glades, festivals, and theatres across the land (Glastonbury Comedy stage, Bestival Main stage, Camp Bestival Main stage, Big Chill, Beachdown, Belladrum). Fake Bush has twice been featured by The Guardian in their guide to the Top 10 Things to do at Bestival. Fake Bush is a National Soundalike winner, Brighton Festival Best Actress Nominee, Brighton Festival Best Stageshow Nominee, and all round cabaret darling.
