Headlining Friday Night PHAT BOLLARD (2 Sets)

A troupe of roving British buskers have shot to fame on Facebook after a radical protest song struck a chord with voters preparing to elect the country's next government on 7 May.

The group Phat Bollard makes a living travelling around the UK playing to passersby in city centres. A mobile phone recording of their song "Millionaires", which criticises big business and peoples' attitudes towards the homeless, has been viewed nearly three million times on Facebook..........

Special Guest - Warren Ireland A local lad who can often be found busking around car boot sales with his original songs is the perfect accompaniment to the Cornish busking troubadours.

On Saturday the fun starts at Midday. £3 entry

Our daytime artists King of Rome and Holly Taylor-Gamble Music are no strangers on the local music scene. HTG having recently played at Beat The Streets and the KoR guys can often be found down The Pit Micropub in varying reincarnations. Always pulling a crowd.

In the evening expect to see not one but 3 excellent bands.

The Immortal Rich hailing from Derby are a bunch of well seasoned and talented musicians. Playing their originals along with a few covers, such as The Cure and The Alarm. I spotted these guys supporting Crazyhead and I just had to have them!

Thee Eviltones - describing themselves as 'A post-modern Garage Rock nightmare combining demon raising surf and punk guitars with furiously delivered tales of fright and horror, hate and love, life and death.' Three albums under their belts, these Nottingham lads will raise an eyebrow or too!

The Ruffs - Our very own Connor Spray heads this young up and coming band. Having played across the city including supporting The Bluetones they are definitely ones to watch out for. Very pleased to have them as our headlining band on Saturday.

Sunday Doors at midday. £2 Entry

Music until tea-time with Shanks' Pony. Indie folk band who are influenced by the likes of Ferocious Dog, The Waterboys and The Levellers. 2 sets from these guys. Perfect for a Sunday afternoon.

Wristbands can be purchased for individual days or for the whole weekend - Just £5 for a weekend band. Payable on the gate.

Ales list to be posted in comments at a later date.
