About
Our March Guest + Open MIC night sees the welcome return of long time Liberal Club favourite & ace guitarist Phil Hare.

Originally from Merseyside but now resident in Cambridgeshire, Phil is widely regarded as one of the finest and most distinctive acoustic guitarists working on the current folk & acoustic music circuit. Mr. Hare has been described as 'the Potato man, the spud u like, the chip on your shoulder, the cutting-edge lyricist-guitarist-humourist, that audiences love'

Phil's is going to be supported by a featured spotlight set from Robin Slater. Robin is another performer from t'up North, he's originally from Lancashire, but these days a resident in South London & a popular figure on the local folk circuit.Recently a featured guest on Doug Welch's Radio Kent Folk show, Robin always comes well prepared for the occasion with carefully selected songs from his big repertoire of contemporary & traditional folk, old time music hall & variety songs.

The 1st half of the evening will be an Open Mic. We welcome acoustic music of all genres, and will also be delighted to give opportunities to other types of entertainer.

Our aim is to get on as many floor spots on as possible in the time available starting at 8 prompt. Our guests & featured artists round off the evening with longer sets.

Please either message me on PM on facebook, email pajgreen295@yahoo.co.uk, or turn up early on the night if you are interested in doing a spot & want to make sure your name is on the performers' list,

The CAMRA award-winning selection of real ales and cider will, of course, be on sale in the bar at club prices.
There's a £4 entry charge which is just used to pay the guests. We regret we're not currently in a position to pay, give free entry, or discounts to floor spots.
