Jack Rocks is back!
This time featuring the incredible sounds of Kandybar & The Hair Razors, Shockpowder, 00000000 and Time for 15!
KANDYBAR AND THE HAIR RAZORS - Composer, producer and musician Kabir Kanabar, performing as Kandybar, has a strange knack of gathering many musical styles and recasting them into distinct experimental pop/rock compositions, with stories about carpets, making your bed and radio adverts.
Shockpowder - Shockpowder are a three piece Alternative rock/metal band from Aylesbury and Croydon made up of frontman Joshua Colin Scurfield, bassist Alasdair Spence and drummer Louie Watson.
The band are currently working on various singles, inspired by post rock and metal bands such as Alcest, Heretoir as well as experimental rock bands such as Tool, layered with melancholic vocals. The upcoming releases will see the band playing promotional shows throughout the UK.
00000000 - Four people, bored to death by everything endlessly reliving the past with all of the troublesome ideas stripped away like meat from the bone.
Brought together by the the naive and hopelessly outdated belief that music can be more than something nice to play in the background. Because there are few things more fun than jumping around, making interesting noises and singing until your lungs collapse.
And seeing how we couldn't find the things we wanted to hear (something hitting that sweet spot between pop, electronica and post-rock - you know?) - we figured we'd just have to make it ourselves.
Music for a billion years in the future when everything we know is gone. Huddled around campfires wielding luminescent instruments made of string and teeth - singing songs from the 21st Century: Skyscrapers, solipsism and spaceships. Playing it all as loud as we possibly can - in the hope it'll keep the monsters at bay.
