About
A TASTING OF 6 FINE WINES

Join us for a chance to taste and compare six fine wines from Bordeaux, the Rhône Valley, Piedmonte & California, USA - showing wines picked from our shelves and cellars for this tasting this is a wonderful opportunity to try great wines with age and pedigree.

We have chosen the following wines to celebrate the end of this years Bath Food Festival:

Solomon Hills Chardonnay 2012 - following a tasting earlier this year at the Tasting Room with Nicholas Miller, the proprietor of the estate we quickly added his wonderful Chardonnay to our cellar as the majority of his wines rairly make it out of the US.

Hermitage Blanc 2006 Caves Fayolles - Northern Rhône white- produced in minute quantities and with lovely age. We were fortunate to find this fabulous family on our first buying trip to France fifteen years ago and have stocked ever since.

Le Secret Cote de l'Ange 2009 Châteauneuf du Pape -again an old favourite from our initial fray into France and from our cellars -unusually 90% Mourvèdre grape variety and only available on allocation.

Pio Cesare Barolo 2009 -Family owned Vineyards of Cascina Ornato in Serralunga d’Alba, one of the most historical and prestigious areas of the entire Barolo region, very well known for the great structure and longevity.

Côte Rôtie, Côteaux de Tupin 2006, Jean Michel Stephan - made from 100% Serine, grape of great rarity, due the challenges it creates for growers. However, it could be argued that this is the grape variety that Côte-Rôtie built its reputation on. Thanks to growers such as Stephan it is being brought back from near extinction.

Clos Dubreuil 2009 -St Emilion Grand Cru - Benoit Trocard initial wine is now a superstar, rated 94+ by Robert Parker and now a collectors wine - again a wine drawn from our cellars for this tasting.

Tasting on Saturday 7th October - will commence at 6.30pm and Tickets @ £50 a head - spaces limited in availability
