Title: Best of Leeds (Centre)
Creator: Chris 87

Description:
Find yourself in Leeds on business, or needing to kill time before an evening engagement? Then check out this to-do list of Leeds city centre's finest boozers.

For great interiors you are spoilt for choice - The Victoria and Whitelocks are both fine examples of opulent Victoriana. As a Nicholson's boozer the Victoria also has as ever a reliably good selection of ales.

The Leeds Brewery Tap, North Bar and Cross Keys are more modern establishments yet extremely pleasant to visit; Brewery Tap has a cafe-bar vibe that from my experience people love or hate; North Bar has a formidable collection of Belgian and American beers.

My favourite in Leeds remains Mr Foley's, a York Brewery pub housed in a former bank on the Headrow. Its interior is no great shakes but the selection of beers is always top drawer, and the clincher is it has sky and isn't full of knobheads to spoil it. So you can pop in and watch some cricket and sup an ale, in an unobtrusive, releaxed atmosphere.
