Title: An afternoon in Conwy
Creator: Clive Thompson

Description:
This is a short 5 or 6 pub crawl starting from the train station / Lancaster Square where many of the buses stop. To the right as you exit the station you’ll see the Malt Loaf which is probably not worth wasting any time on this early in the crawl, there are far better pubs worthy of your time. Instead go across the square and head down the High Street.

Ye Old Mail Coach (1)
The first pub you’ll come to is Ye Olde Mail coach, basic pub with a couple of local beers on, although one wasn’t in the best condition. Carry on past the Castle Hotel and head for the arch at the bottom of the road.
The Liverpool Arms (2)
Go through the arch and you’ll find the Liverpool Arms, a bit dark inside but an attractive pub that’s nice to sit outside of on a sunny day and take in the views. Bass and Brains SA on when I visited.
The Bluebell Inn (3)
Back up through the arch and turn left into Castle Street and you’ll come to the Blue Bell. New looking pub that has recently had a refurb and had some interesting beers on.
The George and Dragon (4)
Next door is the George & Dragon, a good honest locals pub with a selection of standard ales and a number of ciders. Continue along Castle Street and you’ll find the next pub on the corner.
The Bridge (5)
At the end of Castle Street you’ll find The Bridge / Y Bont, a decent locals pub with a good selection of ales.
The Malt Loaf (6)
If travelling by bus there’s a stop on Castle St opposite the pub. Alternatively follow Rose Hill St alongside the pub and you’ll find the train station - and you may well have had enough beer to try the Malt Loaf.
