Description:
The train line between Derby and Matlock, plus buses to fill in any gaps, provides an opportunity to visit some excellent pubs in the small towns and villages of Amber Valley, plus Matlock and Matlock Bath. The Derbyshire Wayfarer ticket provides an inexpensive way of hopping on and off trains and buses. The crawl can be done in any order, depending on train and bus times, and how long you want to spend in each pub. Longest walk is from Cromford station to the Boat Inn (about 10 minutes) - buses stop nearer to this pub.
