Gaff Rigger, Southampton

A marina bar which does formulaic food, and not particularly well. It’s on the first floor of the marina office building, one side is a dining room while the other serves as a bar and diner. Food was OK, not adventurous, but I had a half-decent tuna steak and some reasonable – if over-priced – wine. No real ale, just a solitary keg of Shipyard which was over-gassed, over-priced and over-chilled. OK to have a meal if you’re in the marina, but not a destination in its own right.
