Winner of CAMRA Design Award in 2019 and it’s not difficult to see why. The building is a great conversion from a former abattoir. It’s a very modern layout with a large outdoor terrace and separate internal bar area which can accommodate vertical drinking and then a dining area spread over two levels. Ideal location on the harbour-side and both the terrace and the waterside mezzanine restaurant level offer fine views over Havelet Bay and the harbour. It’s a Randalls managed pub restaurant and the bar supports three cask ale hand pumps and several craft keg options. Two Randall’s ales were on for our late night visit and we went for the Golden Guernsey Pale Ale which poured ok for the first few but then we hit the end of the barrel which couldn’t be changed due to the lateness of the hour.
