Two rooms, a main bar to right which is a basic but comfy affair with office carpet, green fabric banquettes, black and white 60s trim (I didn’t rouse myself to go to other room but it looked empty). Two pumps with one cask on, a surprisingly good Severn Best Bitter (NBSS 3.5). Clientele almost exclusively middle-aged lads playing poker with silent sports TV for company otherwise. The fact it stocked an interesting cask in good nick means it’s worth a look if you’re near this part of town – a fair backstreet boozer and better cask than good number of the GBG’23 listed pubs (which this one isn’t). 6.5
