Terrace, Manchester

The Terrace has an L-shaped bar on the right wall that faces a beer shelf with stools along the front window and tables up the right. The exposed brick walls run into the rear which opens up to reveal booth seating up the left and a raised area in right rear with a mix of high and standard tables. This place is called the Terrace so I thought I should haul my fat arse up the stairs to have a look at the large decked terrace with different seating areas and another bar that has limited premium keg. I was surprised to see this space in Manchester where it’s always bloody raining, Back in the main downstairs bar there are six hand pumps, but five were unused which left Vocation’s Bread & Butter as the lone cask choice. There is a larger premium keg range than upstairs. I found the service to be very friendly, but this is the sort of place I would have enjoyed twenty years ago so I don’t plan a revisit.

As mentioned below there are two entrances to this bar with no particular signage that I noticed, I had mistaken it for the Fierce Bar a few doors up, I stopped for a beer whilst there, four handpumps on the bar but just Vocation Bread And Butter available on cask with a range of very expensive keg options. The music was loud which would be fine if Snoop Dogs your thing, otherwise be warned.
