Barearts Studio Bar, Todmorden

A bottle bar as it doesn't do draught. Does their own bottled beers plus some others. Very pink. Its not what you think and is quite good.

part art gallery, part bottle shop, none the less a civilised place to drink especially if you like pink. Everything including the furniture is painted pink as if in some homage to Mr Pooter and his red paint, one of my companions did question if it might be “cerise” rather than pink. Possibly he is more in touch with his feminine side than others of us. The walls, where not pink, are covered with artwork, some nudes others abstract but looking rudeish according to some. I counted 16 different types of beer in bottles for sale, all brewed by Barearts, all are bottle conditioned but you can get a jug to decant the beer off the lees. I only tried one beer and it was excellent. They also stock a cider and a perry. You can drink on the premises or take away and there is also a mail order service.
