The Moorings at Myton, Myton, Leamington Spa

The Moorings This is a Charles Welles pub but was closed for refurbishment! It must have been open during the summer season because the tubs and baskest were still in flower but we couldn’t see any work being carried out. Has a nice small decking area with view of the canal. Sat nicely on the canal, next to bridge 43 on the Grand union, there was 2/3 moorings for narrow boats at this pub, but a missed opportunity for better mooring facilities before and after the bridge. This area is a good place to stop if you need Sainsbury, lidls or even Franky and Benny! 19th September 2010

The building appears to be modern built from reused brick. A large carpark at the front leads you to the front entrance with a disabled toilet to the right.An upstairs bar was not in use on my visit. Stairs and a disabled lift lead down to the lower bar and canalside patio area.The background music and traffic noise from the bridge close by can be intrusive.Three ales and an interesting choice of global lagers available.The menu was average both in choice and price but preferable to the nearby Tiller Pin. Average age of customers was ,I guess, 20>35 years. Wheelchair users can use a curving path to the left of the main door to enter the patio but it is very steep.
